Intercultural Exchange Trip to Incredible India!
Turkish Cultural Center organized an intercultural exchange trip to India. The trip coincided with “The 14th International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC)” which is organized by our sister organization Educational Endowment Trust and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of India.
During the trip, our guests were hosted by prominent faith leaders of India at Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple and Gandhi Simitri. Our group also had the opportunity to visit one of the seven wonders of the world, Taj Mahal in Agra city.
On May 7, our guests participated in the 14th IFLC at Talkatora Stadium. The Festival attracted more than 2,000 people to see the live performance of more than 400 students from all over the world to spread the message of global peace and cultural harmony.
The keynote speaker of the event was Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptullah who inaugurated the event: “I am amazed to see the spirit of these young students… in fact, they are the real emissaries of peace, who represent not a country or state, but the entire universe.”
IFLC is a global event to facilitate a cordial engagement between young change makers from different parts of the world and has been organised for the past 14 years in 33 different countries each year to showcase the world’s cultural diversity as well as the talent of young students.
