Turkish Coffee Night, organized for the first time in New Hampshire by Turkish Cultural Center, received great attention.
Many New Hampshire politicians, community leaders, as well as members of the Turkic-American community attended the program.
The program began with an introduction of Turkish Cultural Center New Hampshire, followed by a presentation by Ugur Yilmaz that compared Turkish coffee to other types of coffee. Guests had an opportunity to taste various types of coffee, and baklava was offered alongside Turkish coffee.
There were various drawings during the program whereby gifts were given to guests, and the attendees expressed their satisfaction with the program.
Representative Lenette Peterson, who attended the program with her spouse and who also attended a trip to Turkey last year, expressed her delight in attending the first official program of Turkish Cultural Center New Hampshire, and her hopes of attending many more programs in the future.
Representative Windol Weaver, who came from Maine with his spouse to attend the event, stated that he was moved by the hospitality he confronted and conveyed his hope of visiting Turkey in the future.
