TCCNH Continues Turkey Presentations in Schools – 02.18.2015
On February 18, TCC representatives went to Mascenic Regional High School, in New Ipswich, and spoke to students at two Social Studies classes. Hon. Lenette Peterson had a power point presentation about Turkey and Lenette explained the slides and what she experienced on her two visits to Turkey. The slides ranged from education, politics, and of course food. What would a Turkish presentation be without mentioning Baklava! Yusuf answered questions as to what life was like growing up in Istanbul compared to what it was like coming to the United States and living in New York City. The students were very excited about the chance to try Turkish Delight, the rose flavor seemed to be the favorite choice.
